Hot Food BA Arrivals Lounge

It was previously the case... I am told... that hot food was not served at the BA LHR Arrivals Lounge post PM.

Today, I found (1) a small section of hot breakfast items still being served post 12 PM and (2) the CCR section still allowed ordering from the a la carte menu.

There was also a nice selection of sandwiches, cakes, and other items.

This was nice as I came in on BA 292 and one of my bags was last on the carousel... tagged as First. Such is life.

The baggage handlers have been reading scripture on Ascension Day:

"First will be last and last will be First" (from Matthew)

Yes, there is a nice area behind two glass doors that have table service and an a la carte menu. The hot menu items are cooked to order but everything else actually comes from the buffet. Still, a very nice quiet area. I say CCR section as the area is reserved for First Class passengers and is known as the "CCR".

First and GGL.

The big issue is shower availability - there were 15 serviceable out of 96 when I was there last week.

I think it's technically called the Concorde Breakfast Room - I actually thought it was a bit soulless, but I am a fan of eggs Benedict for a lighter (for me) breakfast, and they did that well - don't think that was an option in the main lounge.

Although interestingly, they do make it to order in the main AA T3 arrivals lounge (also decent, just remember to ask for 2!)
