New York City: Were You Impressed Upon Your First Visit?

As a native New Yorker, I can vouch that there is no city in the world quite like New York. It is still an impressive city to me, even after living there for greater than a quarter of a century.

Wow - I feel a lot older after typing that!

Anyway, FlyerTalk member adbrite asks the question: Were you very impressed the first time you travelled to NYC?
